Mark attended Johns Hopkins University from which he received a PhD
in the History of Science, The University of Chicago, and Sidwell Friends School. He was a Fulbright Scholar to the United Kingdom from 1983 to 1984, in residence at The Warburg Institute, University of London.
From 2006 to 2013 he held the position of Adjunct Assistant Professor at Teachers College, Columbia University, where he taught the marketing track in the Klingenstein Center for Independent School Leadership.
He has been a guest lecturer in educational marketing in Cape Town
and Johannesburg, South Africa and spoken at professional
conferences in the US on many occasions.
The constant in Mark's work is his passion for enhancing the core educational mission of institutions in a world of marketing and constructed images. He addresses this practically with each institution he engages. His references speak to the effectiveness of his approach.
